Seeing Examples of Courage is a Great Way to Develop it
it is about taking a chance"
Many kids do not seem to understand what it is like to build something that will function. Artists are always trying to include their artistic prowess in their crafts for functional things and I find that those are the most interesting people. I am not one who is captivated by making things that only look interesting. I try to challenge myself to make things that I will use and still seem like a piece of art. When I was told that our English project for the next month would include designing a tiny house and than building one as a senior project I was extremely content. When my class traveled to the Umbrella Fine Arts I was very interested and trying to anticipate what the tiny house would look like and who was building it. When I saw the house and the person building it I was very surprised. My first impression was that the lady was very brave to build her own home so early on in her life and fascinated to see her thoroughness of planning and an evident knowledge of her work. I have complete respect for Miranda and I hope seeing her risk taking abilities will help me in the future to be courageous and seize the moment.
